During a Reiki session, a practitioner gently places their hands on or near the body, acting as a conduit for healing energy. This process helps remove energy blockages, restore balance, and create a deep sense of relaxation.


How Does Reiki Work?

When you’re stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed, your nervous system stays in a heightened “fight or flight” mode, making it harder for your body to rest and recover. If you’ve never had Reiki before, here’s what a typical session looks like:

  • You’ll lie down fully clothed on a comfortable massage table or sit in a chair.

  • The practitioner will place their hands lightly on or just above different areas of your body, allowing energy to flow where it’s needed.

  • Many people experience sensations like warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation. Some even fall asleep!

  • Each session lasts anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes, and you’ll leave feeling refreshed, calm, and balanced.
